Project description : The 'co-propriete'

Living together apart in a 'domaine' means having a private property within a common property.

The key principle of Euroclub Provence in Southern France is to offer Europeans with a special affection for France the possibility of retiring in the South of France in comfortable conditions in a bungalow park with a large clubhouse, a swimming pool and other facilities. The legal form used in France is the 'co-propriete' (co-ownership). The ownership of Euroclub Provence [for a certain location] can be divided in two separate parts:

  • The private ownership of the individual properties: This will be the traditional ownership of an apartment or a villa. The property can be used, rented and sold like all normal property.
  • The common ownership of the collective properties : Next to the privately owned property there will be an ownership of the common facilities like the Clubhouse, the infrastructure, the recreational facilities.

The major characteristic of the co-ownership is that owners have complete control as a group over costs of upkeep and maintenance and can hire personnel as they think is required.
