The Clubhouse

Euroclub Provence is aimed at people who are open to others and have a liking for club life.

This is the main difference between Euroclub and the many cohabitation projects, « copropriétés » where there is no provision for community life. In standard housing complexes the developer is only interested in selling houses to anyone who can pay the price. Finance is the only consideration. Often they add a clubhouse and a swimming pool, but as there is no club tradition or club mentality, these facilities are often neglected. An important element in the social interaction of ECP is the Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is centrally located and will supplement the complex together with the recreational facilities.

  • The health facilities: one could think of ‘ year around’ swimming accommodations because for health reasons all type of water related activities (spa, sauna, aqua aerobics) are important. But also fitness accommodations could supply opportunities to work on one’s personal fitness.

  • The recreational facilities: Next to the obvious facilites like a dining area/ restaurant and a bar area one could think in terms of facilities for ‘les beaux arts’, meeting facilities for social activities like bridge, etc. as normally found in a clubhouse.

  • Guest rooms/studio’s: When one wants to accommodate the visiting children an guest accommodation has to be available (in the clubhouse).

Euroclub Provence, not just a lucky coincidence...!

It is the intention of Euroclub Provence to create a lifestyle that avoids the predicament threatening many mature people living in a foreign country: loneliness and isolation from the outside world. Challenges become problems, variety becomes hassle, mowing the lawn a chore and cleaning the pool can wait a while….

In the Euroclub Community people respect each other and instinctively know what they require. Like you, they will play a game of cards because it keeps the mind sharp or play a round of golf because it keeps you fit. You are part of a community but will also want to integrate into the local society and share your specific know-how with the locals.

To ensure this concept works for you there are some requirements: you are a team-player, part of the community and can afford not to rent your home out, although the kids and grandkids would be more than welcome to look after the plants if you are not there. In return the club will provide reassurance in the form of medical support, traiteurs or other forms of gourmet meals, working with the family to find alternative accommodation should independent living become impossible and even arrange for new residents, be they owners or tenants. This, to you, sounds perfect and not a lucky coincidence!
